Solubility test of 1g MK677 powder in glycerol
Glycerin (Glycerin), also known as glycerol, is a colorless, tasteless, viscous liquid, widely used in cosmetics, food, medicine and other fields. It has good moisture and high viscosity, and is also a common solvent. So, how soluble is MK677 powder in glycerol?
Experimental procedure
First, add 10ml glycerin. Because glycerin has a higher viscosity, as a rule of thumb, starting at 1ml and increasing by 1ml each time may be a waste of time. So instead of starting at 1ml, we start at 10ml.
Add 10ml glycerin to 1g MK677 powder. Due to the high viscosity of glycerin, we used an ultrasonic shaker to assist the dissolution.
However, after standing, we found that half of the MK677 powder did not show obvious signs of dissolution, and the powder was still suspended in the liquid.
To test whether solubility could be improved by increasing the amount of solvent, we next chose to increase the solvent glycerin to 20ml. After stirring with a mixing stick, let it stand for a period of time and observe, it was found that MK677 powder was still not completely dissolved
At this point, it can basically be determined that the solubility of glycerol to MK677 powder is not good. However, to ensure experimental rigor, we increased the amount of glycerin directly to 50ml.
After stirring, it was observed that mK677 powder was not completely dissolved. This suggests that glycerol has a limited ability to dissolve MK677.
Experimental results and summary
The results show that glycerol as a solvent for MK677 is not good solubility, even in a large proportion can not completely dissolve. Although glycerin is a safe and readily available solvent, it is not ideal for dissolving hydrophobic powders like MK677 due to its high viscosity and properties. Therefore, glycerin may not be the best choice in an experiment that requires the dissolution of MK677.
MK677, also known as oral growth hormone, can effectively help stimulate the secretion of growth hormone, which plays an important role in muscle growth, bone density improvement, accelerated wound healing and anti-aging. The purchase of MK677 powder, that is, the quality can be guaranteed, but also with a huge price advantage. Especially if you know how to make a solution with MK677 powder, or make it into capsules or tablets, you can get more out of it.
So, although MK677 powder does not dissolve well in glycerol, what about in other solvents? In future experiments, we can try other solvents, such as PEG series or DMSO, to further optimize the dissolution scheme of MK677.
