May I make mk677 solution with olive oil at home?

Olive oil is a common vegetable oil, which has good safety and rich nutritional value, and is widely used in food, health products and drug carriers. Its fat-soluble properties make it one of the alternative solvents for dissolving some fat-soluble compounds. Observations: Observations showed that the solvent did not appear to be sufficient, and most of the powder showed no signs of dissolution.

Since the dissolution of 1g MK677 in olive oil looks very similar to that in grapeseed oil, based on our experience in grapeseed oil experiments, we chose to increase the olive oil directly to 50ml.

Observation results: The solution showed a yellow turbidous liquid state, the powder was suspended in the solution, and was not completely dissolved. This indicates that MK677 cannot be completely dissolved even at a dosage of 50ml.

Conclusion

As a vegetable oil, although olive oil has good fat solubility, its ability to dissolve MK677 powder is not good. During the whole experiment, even if the amount of olive oil was increased to 50ml, MK677 still did not dissolve completely, but showed a uniform suspension or precipitation state. This may be due to the chemical properties of MK677 which determine its low solubility in non-polar oil solvents.

Compared with PEG300, DMSO and other solvents, the solubility of olive oil is obviously not ideal. However, due to the safety and natural properties of olive oil, it can still be used as an alternative carrier if it is only used for the preparation of low concentration suspensions. However, olive oil is not ideal for high concentration dissolution requirements.
