MK677 solution homemade: solubility summary in nine solvents
MK677 (Ibutamoren) is a commonly used bodybuilding supplement to help bodybuilders gain muscle and reduce fat, as well as improve sleep. MK677 raw powder is a common MK677 form for easy purchase and confirmation of ingredients. If you get MK677 powder, how do you make it into a MK677 solution? This requires some knowledge of the solubility of common solvents and MK677 powder. In the previous experiments, we separately used nine solvents to dissolve MK677 powder. The nine solvents are water, glycerin, ethanol, polypropylene glycol, grapeseed oil, DMSO, PEG300, PEG400 and olive oil. So, which of these nine solvents is better for MK677 powder?
Water
Water is the most common solvent, and its dissolution ability is mainly concentrated in polar substances. In the experiment, 1g MK677 was completely dissolved with 4ml of water. This suggests that water is a simple and readily available solvent for MK677 powder.
Ethanol
Ethanol is a commonly used organic solvent, but the solubility of different substances is different. In the experiment, 4ml ethanol was added and 1g MK677 powder was completely dissolved. Ethanol is also a relatively readily available solvent.
Glycerin
Glycerin is a transparent liquid with high viscosity and has a certain ability to dissolve. In the experiment, after mixing 1g MK677 with glycerin, even if added to 50ml, only part of the powder was dissolved. This shows that glycerol does not dissolve MK677 well.
Polypropylene Glycol
Polypropylene glycol is a commonly used pharmaceutical and food grade solvent. The experimental results showed that even if 1g MK677 was added to 50ml of Polypropylene Glycol , the solution showed a beige white turbid state, and the solid was partially suspended and could not be completely dissolved. This means that the dissolution capacity of polypropylene glycol is not ideal and can not meet the high concentration dissolution demand.
Grapeseed Oil
Grape seed oil is a kind of vegetable oil, which has a certain fat solubility. When 1g MK677 was added to grapeseed oil, the solution showed a pale yellow turbid state, even if increased to 50ml, it still could not be completely dissolved, and the whole solution was suspended. This indicates that grapeseed oil has poor solubility to MK677.
DMSO (dimethyl sulfoxide)
DMSO is a highly efficient solvent with a strong ability to dissolve. In the experiment, only 8ml of DMSO can completely dissolve 1g MK677, forming a transparent and uniform solution. DMSO is undoubtedly one of the ideal solvents for MK677 raw powder.
PEG300
PEG300 is a low molecular weight polyethylene glycol that is commonly used as a drug solvent. In the experiment, 8ml PEG300 can completely dissolve 1g MK677, and the solution presents a clear and transparent state. PEG300 shows excellent solubility, alongside DMSO.
PEG400
The molecular weight of PEG400 is slightly higher than that of PEG300, and the solubility is slightly lower. In the experiment, even 50ml of PEG400 did not completely dissolve 1g MK677, which suggests that a larger dose of PEG400 may be required to completely dissolve 1g MK677 powder, and it may not be a good choice.
Olive Oil
Olive oil is a common fat soluble solvent, but it is less soluble to MK677. In the experiment, after adding 50ml olive oil, the solution was pale yellow and cloudy. This means that the olive oil cannot dissolve MK677 and can only form a suspension.
Summary and recommendation
Through this solubility test, the performance of 1g MK677 in different solvents is as follows:
The solvents that can completely dissolve 1g MK677 are water, DMSO, ethanol and PEG300. To dissolve 1g MK677 raw powder, 4ml ethanol or 10ml water is required, and 8ml is required with DMSO and PEG300.
Among all insoluble or partially dissolved solvents, glycerin is relatively more soluble. 50ml glycerin dissolves most MK677 powder.
To sum up, water, ethanol, DMSO and PEG300 are the best choices for dissolving MK677 for practical applications, which have the characteristics of high efficiency and low dosage. Vegetable oils such as olive oil, grapeseed oil, and fat-soluble solvents such as glycerin are not suitable for dissolving MK677 in high concentrations.
It is hoped that this experimental summary can help you choose the right solvent in actual operation and improve the use effect of MK677!
